I am sad to admit it, but: I started getting gray hairs!!! Anyone with me? It’s gotten worse each year in my 30’s and I’m kind of blaming it on the kids right now (but I know it’s not really them doing it). I usually get my roots touched up every 4-6 weeks, but I can’t always make it to my stylist. I either forget or I can’t secure a babysitter. While I don’t have a ton of gray hairs in my roots, it’s enough to bother me. So, when I am forced to go longer stretches between root touch ups, I needed to find a solution to help me cover my grays easily.

I love shopping at Walgreens. It’s literally right down the street from me. I’m usually there getting photos printed, and I enjoy walking around the beauty aisles while I wait. I found Gray Away on one of my many such trips and I was intrigued. Does this really work? Could this be just what I’m looking for? I figured for less than $8, I ought to give it a try.
I picked the black/dark brown but it comes in a variety of colors. They also sell it in a powder form which I think would be good for traveling.
Below you can see the start of my grays, and since I can’t get into my stylist before Christmas, they were only going to get worse.
I picked up my Gray Away last week in anticipation of this moment. It was time to see what this little bottle can do… I was secretly hoping for a little miracle.
The package was easy to open and the instructions were simple. Shake the bottle well and spray where you need it, waving the spray back and forth until the roots were covered.
I had to include this picture because it’s real life!!! I didn’t realize how cold it would be on my scalp when I sprayed it. I was a little surprised but as I kept spraying it wasn’t as cold as I first thought. And now that I’ve used it for a few times, I’m completely comfortable with it.
Here is my after photo!! I just love the results with Gray Away! I am excited to start using it more and more between my color appointments. My husband will like that I’m saving a little money by not having to go as often, too.
Also, I don’t wash my hair every day; I usually do a couple times a week. I’ve been using Gray Away a few times a week to cover grays and it’s lasted to the next day which I love!! So, if you are need of covering those first few grays (or even several grays), head to Walgreens and grab a bottle of Gray Away. I promise you will be so happy that you did!
Go try it and let me know what you think!
