This is my 3rd time being pregnant and to say I’ve learned a little about dressing my bump over the years is an understatement. It’s been nice to pick up some tricks along the way and figure out how to make maternity style easy. Here is an Easy Maternity Outfit! I’ve got some good tips for you…
Easy Maternity Outfit Tips
Buying maternity clothing can get expensive. Spending a lot of money on a new wardrobe just because my belly is expanding doesn’t make sense for us financially. I decided to try to make as many maternity outfits with basics and pieces that will fit after baby. I am loving this challenge and because the weather here in Arizona isn’t crazy cold I can get away with not covering my bump up with lots of layers.
- buy basics first. I started with jeans. I got 4 pairs, because I live in jeans. Blue, black, white and a distressed pair are what I went with.
- buy good tees that will last! A Pea in the Pod have the best tees in my opinion. I have been able to wear them through two pregnancies
- make sure you have comfortable shoes but ones that are stylish & you enjoy wearing
- layer with non maternity pieces like coats, blazers & cardigans
The brand I’ve been loving lately for maternity jeans are LUXE Essentials. They are affordable, they last and make easy maternity outfits!
When I saw this pink bomber jacket at Old Navy, I had to have it!! I like that I can wear it now and I’ll be able to wear it right after baby too. Keeping my style as a new mom helps me keep a little sanity. Those first few weeks can be a little rough.
I always have to throw in a little leopard whenever I can! Isn’t this leopard clutch a perfect addition to an easy maternity outfit!
Can you tell coffee is my key to survival lately? To pull together an easy maternity outfit, pair your basic jeans and tee with a cute outer layer and killer accessories (leopard clutch and tan boots)
I’m almost done with my 3rd pregnancy but I have a couple more maternity styles to share with you in the coming weeks!
