It’s the One Room Challenge Week Two!!! I am loving being a guest participant in this challenge by Calling It Home’s! I have been brainstorming all week about what I want my space to be and how I want to feel when I am in there. My home office is going to be a little retreat for me to create, dream and focus. A place just to be me. I love being a wife and mom but sometimes I need to be reminded of who I am as a woman. This room is just for me and I’m hoping it will help me leave all my distractions behind when I walk in the door and just be me!

One Room Challenge Week Two
I want this room to be bright, light and airy. My favorite color is pink and I usually decorate with a much darker hue. This light blush color has been speaking to me lately and I am going to go with it for my new space. I have a few decisions to make over the next few weeks.
I have my desk and the wardrobe rack already so those will be used in the space but I am in between a few other pieces. The bookcases are so cute! I have white walls and I want to keep them white so I am adding color with furniture and decor. The gold and glass bookcase is nice and tall but I am really drawn to the shorter gold and wood bookcase. I really like the wood element but the height of the other is so appealing.
I want to add a bench under the window. The faux fur look is one that I’ve been eyeing for a long time so I knew it would be perfect in this airy space. I am back and forth between the blush and white one….oh these decisions are going to be hard!
A rug is essential to this space. I have dark hardwood floors and I want to add a rug on the floor to lighten the space. I really like both of these rugs from Overstock. One is plush and looks so comfy and the other is lighter but has such pretty detail. What do you think would look best? I’m leaning toward the one with the detail! It feels more me.
I can’t wait to show you what I pick! Want to shop this post?
