I’ve wanted to design a dream master closet for as long as I’ve been an adult. My love for clothing started when I was just a little girl. I would do fashion shows for my parents and their friends at 4 years old. And I’m still doing them today…but through Instagram now! I got the pleasure of working with California Closets and my consultant Robin helped me design a dream master closet that I’m drooling over!
Thank you California Closets for sponsoring this post.
I worked with Robin, the Showroom Manager & Senior Designer for California Closets here in Scottsdale, AZ. She was AMAZING! She came to our home with her tape measure in hand and didn’t even mind the mess. I loved how knowledgable she was. She asked questions about things I didn’t even know to think about: like how I want my jeans stored, what I plan to do with my jewelry, and what my husband wants on his side.
Design a Dream Master Closet
It was so much fun to design a dream master closet. Robin came, measured and listened to my wants. I really want a place in my closet that I can use as a getting ready place. I want a little area I can put my jewelry, some pictures of my girls, my mom & my hubby (to keep my purpose in life right there in front of me) and the verse I’m memorizing that week. Basically I want a space that is just mine, were I can start and end my day and be reminded of what’s important. I’m a visual person and seeing that daily really helps me thrive. Robin knew exactly how to make that happen! My other must haves were spaces for my jeans so I can color coordinate them, a place for dresses both long and short and a way to store things without having to see them. She came on a Friday and we made plans to meet that following Monday in the local showroom to see her design. But not so fast…after checking out the California Closets, Ideas of Order magazine, I discovered they do more than just closets!
When she thought she was done, I asked her to help with our kitchen pantry. Organization is such a need for that space. It’s sadly become my catch all. And I hate that! Robin was so sweet to stay and measure our kitchen pantry and listen to my must haves. We keep our trash cans in the pantry and so many of my entertaining items are stored there as well as our food. It’s such a multipurpose space and it stresses me out.
I met Robin at the showroom Monday morning. She had been busy over the weekend designing my dream spaces. I felt bad for giving her extra work…the pantry and closet but she said she loved designing our spaces! She presented the design for my dream master closet first. Our closet is long and narrow. I don’t love that but Robin turned it into a closet that felt like an escape. Somehow she made it feel more spacious, probably because it would be super organized now.
The design she came up with isn’t the one we walked out with. After seeing it in 3D and chatting with Robin we decided to change it up a little bit. A better use of our space was to run the California Closet system down both side walls and leave the back wall open. I plan do something special on that wall and bring the space together. Robin was able to work with our budget and still give us all our needs & wants. Are you ready to design a dream master closet?

Robin created our pantry with lots of organization too! For both spaces we chose to go with white finishes. I love a crisp and clean modern look. They have so many finishes and styles to choose from, they would be able to accommodate your design style too. I had so much fun working with California Closets and Robin! I know you will too. Call them today and schedule a consultation with one of their fabulous designers. And if you’re in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, you may even get Robin!
